Meerkats vs Dirty Sexy Money

So I saw the previews to Dirty Sexy Money a long time ago, and the title through me off and I had no real interest to see it until earlier this week one of my coworkers mentioned it and showed me a clip from it. I noticed it had Peter Krause from Sports Night so I decided to give it a shot. A week later I've seen about 6 episodes and I like the show so far.

My only beef with the show is that the intro to the show is almost exactly like the intro to Meerkat Manor. Both introduce the family members 1 by 1 by saying their name, and their position in the family, and the last introduction is to multiple people, with a description of their behavior. Let's compare:

Best Final Countdown Ever

so you all should know of my love for "The Final Countdown", mostly because of Gob from Arrested Development, but I caught this on digg and had to share:

I Highly Recommend

So I haven't posted a blog post in about 2 months because I haven't really had anything to post about. Recently I have found myself using the phrase: "I highly recommend it" for a few things so I thought I'd share my recommendations to the masses.

  1. Focus Night and Day Contacts So I've only worn glasses / contacts for about 6 years. For the first few years I wore glasses because the doctor didn't think I needed to wear them all the time. After that, he said that I could switch to contacts and he recommended Acuvue's Focus Night and Day contacts. I was a little freaked out about wearing contacts in the first place and he said these would be perfect for me. I tell this to anyone who wears contacts and talks about the hard time they have with them... read this next part carefully: you can leave them in your eyes for up to 30 days . That's right... IN your eyes, not just use the same pair for 30 days, but put them in, and not take them out, even when you sleep. For people that wear regular contacts and have left them in too long and have to peel them off, I know it makes your eyes water just thinking about it, but trust me, they work. The downfall: I've been wearing this type of contact since I started wearing contacts, and because of this ( and because I tend to forget and leave them in for 60+ days instead ), I have only taken them in and out about 30 times, so I suck at it, and it takes me forever. But I only have to do it 6-12 times a year, so I don't really care about it taking a little longer.

  2. Linux I know I'm a computer geek and so I have a little bit more advanced knowledge than the average computer user... but if you have any amount of computer knowledge, I would highly recommend giving it a try. My current favorite flavor Ubuntu

  3. TiVo For Christmas we decided to cancel our cable and switch to TiVo. I was a little scarred about losing my Talk Soup, Colbert Report, and the Daily Show, but its been fine. It also integrates into your Netflix account and allows you to stream your Netflix movies to your TiVo. The fast-forward jump back feature it a great time saver. Also, one of my biggest problems with the Cable DVR system was that if you were watching one program and switch to another, you can't just pick back up where you left off, you have to fast forward. TiVo solves this by saving the place on every show. Its awesome to jump between programs whenever you want.

  4. Diet Root Beer If you are gonna drink soda, I highly recommend A&W's Diet Root Beer. It tastes just like regular root beer (maybe even better).

  5. Rosarito well, I guess I no longer would be recommending this because of the whole swine flu thing, but before that, I used to highly recommend the La Paloma resort in Rosarito Mexico. Its only a 4-5 hr drive and its right on the beach. Gated community and the beach is very clean and private and we've always had a really good time there.
